Being hurt by another., Facebook timeline photo quote, Josh Shipp., Knowing I must let go., Lessons Learned in Life picture quote., Loss of a loved one., Mixture of emotions., poetry by Yu/stan/kema, Saying good-bye is hard.
I must stop thinking about you,
And longing for things that are gone,
Though I find your name on my lips
As I walk in the night before dawn.
To myself, I must never admit
Emptiness lies in my heart.
I refuse to admit you exist.
This decision tears me apart.
I must tell myself you are dead,
And pretend I no longer care.
I must forget that I love,
To hide all I want to share.
The sorrow I feel is immense.
Emotions must stay in the past.
This ache is a red-hot fire.
I must open my heart to the blast.
Though I pray for you every night,
I ask God, to help me forgive
The wrongs that you have done
To destroy me while I still live.
My love burns with a blue flame
Consuming my heart from inside.
You’ve taken away my trust
And wounded my self-pride.
I must hide the hurt and pain
And pretend I no longer feel,
To accept the hard cold fact
That your love is no longer real.
For the love that burns in my heart,
Must turn to ashes again,
As I walk alone in the rain,
Without the hand of a friend.
