Love is like a river

That empties in the heart.

Sometimes it flows deeply,

Or slowly when it starts.

Love can flow strongly,  

Leaving ripples in its wake.

Love can bring great joy, or

Cause your soul to ache.

Sometimes a river,

Dries up in its river bed.

Love can die as quickly

If it’s  not daily fed,

With words of

Encouragement,

That lift a weary soul,

Or makes someone,

With half a heart,

Suddenly feel whole.
